The invention comprises water-insoluble mono-azo dyestuffs of the general formula <FORM:1008166/C4-C5/1> in which X represents a halogen atom, a nitro group, a methyl group, a methoxy group or a trifluoromethyl group, the benzene nucleus A may be substituted by further groups other than sulphonic acid and carboxylic acid groups and in which the benzene nucleus B may be substituted by methyl or methoxy groups or halogen atoms. A substituent in nucleus A may be a chlorine atom or a methyl, methoxy, nitro, carboxylic acid amide optionally N-methyl or N-phenyl substituted, or a trifluoromethyl group and a substituent in nucleus B may be a chlorine or bromine atom or a methyl or methoxy group. The dyes are suitable for colouring rubber and polyvinylchloride. In Example (1) 1-amino-2-nitro-4-chlorobenzene is diazotized and coupled with 5-acetoacetyl-amino-benzimidazolone to obtain an orange pigment.
