VENTILATION SYSTEM FOR VENTILATING ATTIC AREAS

The device for ventilating attic areas is installed into the chimney featuring a wicket frame (3) as well as a wicket (4) and fan, while the wicket frame (3) and the wicket (4) from the aspect of dimension and shape match the chimney pipe connection (1A). The device according to the invention also includes a protective cover (5) and an internal assembly (7) with integrated deflector (7A) which directs the hot exhaust gases in the internal pipe (1) of the chimney past the enclosure of the device. In the preferred version the device also includes a flap (8) with integrated fire protection (9) which with the help of a servo drive (11) rotates around the hinges within the internal assembly (7). With the integration of the electrical circuit the device is autonomous in its operation according to the automatic operation principle with safety shut-down, which under unfavourable circumstances shuts down the fan (6) and closes the flap (8) air-tightly.
