CONFINEMENT RESCUE METHOD FOR ELEVATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce labor and time by reducing the frequency of attaching and detaching a rope grip means to and from a main rope in confinement rescue work. SOLUTION: A pulley 42 is mounted to a hook 7b of a hoisting machine 7 in a hoistway 1, and one end 41a of a rope body 41 is connected to the rope grip means 40. The rope grip means 40 is pushed up along the main rope 6 by a push-up means 80 and then lowered to grip the main rope 6 by the rope grip means 40. The rope body 41 connected to the rope grip means 40 is hung around the pulley 42, and the other end 41b of the rope body 41 is pulled out to a landing 30a. While releasing a brake of the hoisting machine 7 by a brake release device 13, the other end 41b of the rope body 41 is pulled at the landing 30a.
