PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To introduce a fiber into an inlet opening constantly in the same manner, and to extend a service life of a roller cot and an apron. SOLUTION: There is provided a device for producing a spun fiber 1 comprising a traversing device 25 for traversing a capacitor 19 and an air-jet assembly 4 with a driving mechanism across the width of roller pairs 7, 8; 9, 10; 11, 12 of a drafting device 3, wherein the air-jet assembly is traversed synchronously with a fiber strand 15 and is placed in a state to ensure introduction of a fiber delivered from the drafting device into the inlet opening 21 of the air-jet assembly in the same manner. The production device is provided with a means to stop the drafting device of individual spinning position for avoiding incomplete draft in the case of yarn breakage at the individual spinning position and with a means for interrupting the traversing motion.
