PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reagent and a method useful for rapid and high sensitive quantification of peptide hormone hBNP in a biological fluid (for example, plasma or serum) in the field of immunoassays. SOLUTION: There are provided an antibody that is monospecific to peptide epitopes containing amino acid sequences 1-10 or 15-25 of hBNP or a functional active fragment thereof, and the reagent and method and the like useful for rapid and high sensitive quantification of peptide hormone hBNP in a biological fluid (for example, plasma or serum) in the field of immunoassays.
