PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging tray for a lot of fruit, which stores soft and fragile fruit such as strawberries and has little restraining force against vertical vibration. SOLUTION: In the fruit storage tray, a rectangular tray 1, made of a rectangular base plate 2 and longitudinal and lateral side plates 3 and 3', is provided with upward protrusions 4 with the same height as that of the side plates 3 and 3' at equal intervals lengthwise and widthwise, and a thin thermoplastic synthetic resin sheet 5 is flatly stuck 4' to the upper surface of the tray 1 to keep the sheet 5 extended and attached to the flat surface on the upper surface of the tray 1, so that a fruit storage recess 6 is molded through plastic deformation at the center of the longitudinally and laterally adjacent upward protrusions 4, 4, 4 and 4, wherein a space t is interposed between the recess 6 and the base plate 2, and in addition, the upper edge external side face of the recesses 6 and the outer peripheral surface of the upward protrusions 4 hold the common flat surface 5a of the sheet 5.
