An apparatus and a method for changing a communication mode in a mobile terminal are provided. More particularly, an apparatus and a method for changing to a video communication mode using an external key while performing a voice communication mode, or changing a video communication mode to a voice communication mode using the external key in a mobile terminal are provided. The apparatus includes a communication mode manager. The communication mode manager maps a function for changing a communication mode to a communication connect button of an earphone, and enters a video communication mode using the communication connect button. |
