<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an information processor for obtaining information that is utilized to predict a failure of an optical disk drive without arranging a storage medium that saves data permanently in the optical disk drive. <P>SOLUTION: A measurement module 411 for measuring values related to the operation of an ODD motor in the power cycle of an ODD 117 is arranged in the ODD 117.
