COATING COMPOSITION FOR PROTECTING THE GLASS SURFACE AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A coating agent for protecting the surface of glass and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to sufficiently protect the surface of the glass in a cutting or polishing process by being composed of components similar to glass. CONSTITUTION: A coating agent for protecting the surface of glass includes a silane-base component and a silica-contained component. The coating agent is based on siloxane bond. The coating agent includes methyltriethoxysilane, ethylsilicate, and nanosilica. A method for manufacturing the coating agent includes the following: A first intermediate including methyltriethoxysilane and ethylsilicate is prepared. Hydrochloric acid is added to the first intermediate in order to obtain second intermediate. Nanosilica is added to the second intermediate. A refluxing process is implemented at temperature higher than room temperature.
