PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform grooving, and to provide a groove shape of high quality. SOLUTION: This cutting tool is attachable and detachable to/from a machining machine for turning and cuts a machining object rotating around a shaft while moving straight toward the machining object to form a peripheral direction groove. The cutting tool includes a plurality of tips 10 and 20, a plurality of planar members 51 and 52 to/from which the tips 10 and 20 are attachable and detachable, and a holding part 30 fixed to be movable in parallel in a cutting direction in the mutually laminated state of each planar member 51 and 52. When each planar member 51 and 52 is laminated in the holding part 30, cutting blades 12 of the respective tips 10 and 20 are arrayed along an axial direction to be mutually and partially overlapped with each other in an axial direction, the respective planar members 51 and 52 are mutually and relatively moved in parallel in the cutting direction, and thereby tips of respective cutting blades 12 can adjust prescribed cutting direction distances, respectively.
