PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device, a method for driving the same, and electronic appliances using the same are avoid the remain of direct current components by driving a capacitor line and driving a weighting subfield. CONSTITUTION: Pixel circuits are respectively installed by corresponding to the cross of a single line(12) and a scanning line. The pixel circuits include a pixel electrode in connection with the signal line through a selection switch. A signal line driving circuit(22) applies a voltage to the signal line. A scanning line driving circuit(21) successively selects the scanning line and allows the selection switch to be turned on.
