PURPOSE: A method and terminal for managing telephone number is provided to enable a user to conveniently store a specific user's changed phone number. CONSTITUTION: A connection number list confirming unit(230) confirms whether a first telephone number is pre-stored in the contact list or not. If the first telephone number is pre-stored in the contact list, a phone number changing and storing unit(240) changes the first phone number with the second phone number and stores the changed phone number. If the first telephone number is not pre-stored in the contact list, a new telephone number storage(250) newly stores the second telephone number in the contact list.
