PURPOSE: Ammonia selective oxidation catalyst and a method for preparing the same are provided to obtain the superior catalytic performance in a wide temperature range and increase the efficiency of conversion between ammonia and nitrogen. CONSTITUTION: A substrate is coated with carrier slurry. A drying process and a sintering process are followed. The substrate coated with the slurry is impregnated in a mixed aqueous solution in which one or more selected from palladium, palladium compound, nickel, nickel compound, manganese, and a manganese compound are dissolved. A drying process and a sintering process are followed. Carboxylate derivative is further added to the mixed aqueous solution. The carrier slurry is alumina.
