PURPOSE: A lapping machine for cutting spherical grooves of a drive shaft for a hydraulic motor and a pump is provided to maintain accurate lapping positions by accurately transferring a drive shaft by one pitch for each lapping position. CONSTITUTION: A lapping machine for cutting spherical grooves of a drive shaft for a hydraulic motor and a pump comprises a pitch transfer rotary shaft(44) which is fixed to an upper structure and angularly rotated through an upper bearing so that the upper structure and a drive shaft are simultaneously angularly rotated. At the same time as lapped one(C1) of spherical grooves of the drive shaft is deviated from the rotation center of a main rotary shaft, the next one(C2) is located in the rotation center of the main rotary shaft. Accordingly, the drive shaft is simultaneously rotated through a turn table when the spherical groove of the drive shaft is lapped by a lap and the rotational friction between the spherical groove and the lap is increased. |
