<p>Catalytic process for producing a composition of 6-26C linear monocarboxylic acid alcohol esters and glycerin, comprises reacting neutral or acidic, virgin or recycled vegetable oil or animal oil with 1-18C aliphatic monohydric alcohol, in the presence of a heterogeneous catalyst made of a zeolite (I), expressed on an anhydrous base in terms of oxide moles.
