<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming member or a photoreceptor including an overcoat layer containing a light-absorbing material that improves print quality. <P>SOLUTION: The overcoat layer is significantly improved in the resistance against light shock, compared to a conventional overcoat layer currently used.
