The drive (1) has a swash plate (2) eccentrically pivotable around a central axis (3) and coupled with an inner support ring (14). A stator is provided in the central axis and has distributedly arranged field generation units (11) i.e. coils, to produce variable magnetic field. The swash plate interacts with the magnetic field and is rotated. The field generation units are directly provided in a region of a smooth cylindrical lateral surface of the stator. Permanent magnetic or soft-magnetic elements are arranged in a carrier made of plastic.
