摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of controlling the light source of an atomic oscillator which controls a DC bias current into a point with the minimum intensity of transmission light. SOLUTION: The atomic oscillator includes: a semiconductor laser 1 for generating a resonant light pair to generate an electromagnetically induced transparency phenomenon in an alkali metal atom; a cell 2 with the alkali metal atom sealed therein; a PD3 for detecting the resonant light pair transmitting the cell 2; an A/D converter 4 for converting the output signal of the PD3 into a digital signal; a memory 6 for storing the digital signal converted by the A/D converter 4; a memory control unit 5 for writing the digital signal into the memory 6 and reading out the digital signal; a comparison unit 7 for comparing digital data previously stored in the memory 6 with the digital signal converted by the A/D converter 4; a current source control unit 8 for controlling the DC bias current to be given to the semiconductor laser 1, based on the comparison results; and a current source 9 for supplying the DC bias current to the semiconductor laser 1.
