The invention relates to equipment for automated car parks. The automated system for a level or multi-storey car park comprises units for the automated movement, with the aid of a remote control, of pallets intended for transporting cars, said units being mounted in the parking areas of a level car park or on the parking storeys of a multi-storey car park and in the entry and exit zones of the level car park or in the lifts of the multi-storey car park. The units consist of rectangular module cells which interact with one another, are arranged adjacent to one another and are the same size. The sizes of the rectangular module cells and pallets are identical for an individual parking system, and the pallets move along the rectangular module cells in a horizontal plane in mutually perpendicular directions. The number "n" of rectangular module cells of the parking areas corresponds to the number of at least "n-1" pallets.
