PURPOSE: A video signal detecting apparatus is provided to detect accurate comparison value of a pulse section and to increase the reliability of video signal detection in order to prevent wrong signal by noise. CONSTITUTION: An integral value calculation unit(105) integrates input signals at predetermined intervals. An integral value comparison unit(110) compares the integral value of a first input signal with the integral value of a second input signal. An input signal selection unit(130) selects the input signal of the first input signal. A video signal detection unit(115) detects the selected input signal to a video signal.
