PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing seal for a wheel improved in sealing performance by preventing the intrusion of muddy water into a seal and capable of reducing torque by suppressing an increase of the sliding resistance of the seal even if muddy water intrudes and is accumulated. SOLUTION: A magnetic encoder 14 is formed with a wraparound part 14a covering an outer diameter part of a standing plate 11b of a slinger 11, and a seal member 13 is adhered to an outer surface of an end of a fitting part 12a of a core metal 12 by wrapping around the outer surface. An inner diameter surface of an opening end 15 of the seal member 13 is formed into a tapered surface at an inclination angle α of 5-20° toward the outer diameter side, and an inner diameter part d2 of the tapered surface and the outer diameter d1 of the wraparound part 14a face each other through a radial gap set in a range of 0.2-0.3 mm to constitute a labyrinth seal 16. By this, the muddy water resistant performance of the seal 7 is improved, and even if muddy water intrudes into the seal 7, the muddy water is easily discharged by a centrifugal force, and the intrusion of the muddy water into a bearing space can be effectively prevented.
