<p>Method for batchwise preparation of alcohol from biomass by alcoholic fermentation comprises: saccharization of carbohydrate to sugar by an enzyme, preferably by preparing a sweet slurry from corn; fermentation of the sugar contained in the sweet slurry by yeast to alcohol in a first fermentation step; distillation of alcohol from the acidic mixture; and separation of solid phase from the liquid phase of the acidic slurry, preferably by decantation, where e.g. the first acidic mash before the distillation is separated into an aqueous, alcohol-free phase and an alcohol-containing cake. Method for batchwise preparation of alcohol from biomass by alcoholic fermentation comprises: saccharization of carbohydrate to sugar by an enzyme, preferably by preparing a sweet slurry from corn; fermentation of the sugar contained in the sweet slurry by yeast to alcohol in a first fermentation step; distillation of alcohol from the acidic mixture; and separation of solid phase from the liquid phase of the acidic slurry, preferably by decantation, where the first acidic mash before the distillation is separated into an aqueous, alcohol-free phase (effluent) and an alcohol-containing cake, the aqueous phase is used again for liquefaction of fresh biomass into slurry, the mixture is fermented again and a second acidic slurry of alcohol is distilled after the second fermentation step. An independent claim is included for a device, for carrying out the above process, comprising at least one saccharization container (3a), at least one fermentation container (4A1), at least one distillation column, two fermentation lines (A, B), each of which comprises at least one fermentation container and each is supplied to the saccharization container, and a connecting line (11) from one end of the fermentation line starting, preferably from the saccharization container, to other fermentation line.</p> |
