PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring apparatus capable of improving positioning accuracy of a measuring means regardless of the sizes of works. SOLUTION: In the measuring apparatus 10A, the measuring means 50 is installed to a position closer to the ground 11 than a vehicle frame 65 is. In other words, the measuring means 50 is arranged at a position lower than the vehicle frame 65. By this invention, the installation height of the measuring means 50 is not affected by the size of the vehicle frame 65. The measuring means 50 at the low position can easily suppress vibrations of the measuring means 50 which occur when the measuring means 50 is moved by a moving mechanism 20 more than the case that the measuring means 50 is at a position higher than the vehicle frame 65.
