PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coupling structure between a writing element and a sliding member, in which the shaft part of the writing element is simply fixed to the sliding member by caulking so as to allow the mutual rocking and inclining operation of the sliding member and the writing element, and at the same time, which ensures that the fixed state of the shaft part by caulking can hardly become loose with time due to a tool force during writing. SOLUTION: The coupling structure is achieved as follows: the connection part 11e of the sliding member 11 is loosely fitted into the shaft part 10a, and the upper end part 10d of the shaft part 10a is brought into contact with the planar part 11g of the sliding member 11. Under this state, an engagement projecting part 10e to be loosely fitted into an engagement recessed part 11h is formed on the inner surface of the shaft part 10a by punching work, toward the engagement recessed part 11h of the sliding member 11 from the outside surface of the shaft part 10a.
