The longitudinal adjuster has a spindle and a spindle holder (15), where the spindle is arranged in a hollow space that is formed by a pair of rails (5,7). A connection area locates a spindle holder with one of the rails outside of the hollow space formed by the rails. The spindle holder is extended with a partial area in the hollow space. The spindle holder is connected with an end (13a) of the spindle in the partial area. An independent claim is also included for an arrangement with a vehicle structure.
