<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device capable of optimally adjusting current values of a direct current and a high-frequency superimposed current for driving a laser diode. <P>SOLUTION: The optical disk device includes: a laser driver which superimposes a high-frequency current on a direct current and supplies the resulting current as a drive current to the laser light source to drive the laser light source; and a controller which adjusts the current values of the direct current and/or the high-frequency superimposed current which are supplied to the laser light source by the laser driver, based on the servo signal or the reproduced signal. The controller adjusts the current values of the direct current and/or the high-frequency superimposed current so that a value indicating variations in waveform of the servo signal or the reproduced signal satisfies a specified value of the waveform variations, a value indicating the reproduction performance of the reproduced signal satisfies a specified value of the reproduction performance, and a value indicating the endurance performance of the optical disk with respect to the laser light satisfies a specified value of the endurance performance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
