<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance reduction of weight and size of a headlight for a vehicle as a whole by achieving downsizing of a heat sink. <P>SOLUTION: The headlight for a vehicle includes a light source for a high beam, a light source for a low beam, a light source both for use of the high beam and for the low beam, a switch for a high beam with a high beam lighting indication input, a switch for a low beam with a low beam lighting indication input, a first heat sink discharging heat generated at the light source for a high beam and the light source for a low beam, a second heat sink discharging heat generated at the light source for both uses, and a control part for controlling each light source. The first heat sink and the second heat sink are thermally independent from each other. When the high beam light indication is input, the control part brings the light source for a low beam into a light-off state and brings the light source for a high beam and the light source for both uses into a light-on state. When the low beam lighting indication is input, the control part brings the light source for a high beam into a light-off state, and brings the light source for a low beam and the light source for both uses into a light-on state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
