PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for facilitating the use of an image forming apparatus by simplifying the setting of a function (for example, file transmission function) of the image forming apparatus according to management information of an apparatus collected from the apparatus on a network.

SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus capable of performing log-in according to the acquisition of user's identification information includes: a collecting means for collecting management information including at least identification information of the apparatus and the identification information of the user who uses the apparatus from the apparatus on the network; a first management information acquiring means for acquiring management information corresponding to the identification information of the user who performs log-in from the management information collected by the collecting means; and a transmission setting displaying means for displaying transmission setting information including transmission destination information for transmitting a file, determined by the management information acquired by the first management information acquiring means.
