PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform suitable restarting control according to engine speed when a restarting request occurs during reduction of engine rotation caused by automatic stop of an engine. SOLUTION: In an engine automatic stop-start control device, the engine is restarted by restarting fuel injection without performing cranking with a starter when the restarting request occurs when engine rotation speed Ne is in a first rotation speed zone (Ne>N1). When a restarting request occurs in a second rotation speed zone (N1≥Ne>N2), the engine is restarted by starting cranking with the starter while a pinion gear is engaged with a ring gear after synchronizing rotation speed of the pinion gear with rotation speed of the ring gear. When a restarting request occurs in a third rotation speed zone (N2≥Ne>N3), the engine is restarted by starting cranking with the starter while the pinion gear is rotated after the pinion gear is engaged with the ring gear or in the middle of its engagement.
