PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retaining wall using precast concrete members, which generates the large yield strength against the horizontal pressure of the ground using a wall thinner than previous ones and also which facilitates adjusting the yield strength to be desired one in situ according to the quality of soil or construction methods in construction sites. SOLUTION: An earth retaining concrete wall body A is constituted by vertically stacking the plurality of slender precast concrete members 1 in such a manner that the width direction of a flange 3 is directed in a vertical direction and fixing them to one another. In the precast concrete member 1, a cross section is formed into an H-shape by the slender rectangular flanges 3 parallel to each other and a web 2 integrally provided between them; and a bulkhead 5 is integrally provided between both the flanges 3 and 3. A vertical reinforcement insertion hole continuing into each of the precast concrete members is provided in the flange on the side where tensile stress is produced under horizontal back pressure exerted on the wall body A; and a reinforcement 20 long enough to lead to the upper and lower portions of the wall body is inserted into the reinforcement insertion hole, and embedded in the reinforcement insertion hole by means of a cement-based filler.
