<p>Provided is a liquid crystal display device that delivers high luminance and excellent display quality. A common electrode (45) in said liquid crystal display device comprises a first common electrode (45a) and a second common electrode (45b). A pixel electrode (60) contains a first trunk section (61a), a second trunk section (61b), a plurality of first branch sections (62a) extending in a first direction, a plurality of second branch sections (62b) extending in a second direction, a plurality of third branch sections (62c) extending in a third direction, and a plurality of fourth branch sections (62d) extending in a fourth direction. Looking at the pixel from a direction perpendicular to the surface of a TFT substrate (10), the boundary between the first common electrode (45a) and the second common electrode (45b) overlaps, and extends in the same direction as, the first trunk section (61a) of the pixel electrode (60).</p> |
