PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a plurality of control signals to an imaging element by executing one instruction. SOLUTION: The imaging element control signal generator generates the plurality of control signals for a predetermined direction among a plurality of directions to the imaging element to be controlled by the plurality of control signals for the plurality of directions, respectively, and includes an instruction code preparation means for preparing an instruction code, specifying at least one group including one or more of the plurality of control signals with respect to the predetermined direction and the value of the control signals included in the group; and a control signal generation means for simultaneously generating the control signals which are included in the group predetermined in the prepared instruction code and has the value predetermined in the instruction code.
