The breaker has a comminutor (3) provided with two oppositely rotating shafts (5, 6), and arranged in a crusher housing (1). Blades (7, 8) are arranged at a distance to each other in the shafts, where one of the shafts engages in gaps (9, 10) between the blades of the other shaft with shear effect. Strippers (11, 12) projecting opposite to the crusher housing engage in the gaps of the blades. The strippers have concave head surfaces (13) that are positioned opposite to a circular peripheral surface (14) provided at the shafts. The strippers are made of hardened steel.
