<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote controller, etc., properly controlling equipment according to a simple operation received from a user. <P>SOLUTION: An acquiring part 110 acquires peripheral information when operating the equipment. An extracting part 120 extracts a candidate for control over the equipment on the basis of the peripheral information acquired by the acquiring part 110. A presenting part 130 presents to the user the control extracted by the extracting part 120. A receiving part 140 receives information representing whether to employ the control presented by the presenting part 130 as the control over the equipment from the user.
