PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which allows to apply a multi-color and permanent painting to a product like a vehicle part such that labors upon color exchange are hardly required and cleaning labors are reduced. SOLUTION: The method incudes: a step (A) where a first area 4, a first portion 5 in the first area 4 and a second portion 6 different from the first portion 5 in the first area 4 are stipulated on the surface 2 of a product 1; steps (B1, B2) where a first separation layer 7 is formed in at least the first area on the surface and irradiated, at least at the first portion, with electromagnetic radiation 8'', while preventing irradiation at the second portion; a step (C1) where a first paint layer 10 is formed on the surface, at least at the first portion; and a step (D) where the first paint layer is fixed at least at the first portion.
