The method involves operating an oscillating mill (10) with an attached, static or dynamic air separator (18) in cyclone- or filter operation. The mill air is heated through a hot gas generator (20) on temperatures of 180 to 500 degree Celsius. The oscillating mill is covered, in order to hold the inlet temperatures of the mill air from 180 to 500 in the continuous operation. An independent claim is also included for a device for drying and grinding wet feed material.
