PURPOSE: A device for remotely controlling a TV and a method thereof are provided to enable a user to utilize a network TV in various methods. CONSTITUTION: A device for remotely controlling a TV comprises a broadcast receiver(11) for receiving a broadcast signal and processing the signal in order to output the signal, a display part for outputting the processed signal, a network part for receiving a request from an external terminal(13) and receiving a data in response to the request, and a control unit for controlling the network part in order to transmit and receive data by an request of an external terminal.
