PURPOSE: A method for accessing a record layer of an optical disc is provided to rapidly perform an interlayer jump operation. CONSTITUTION: A S-curve of a focus error signal is detected(S12), and a surface layer of an optical disk enables the detection of a first S-curve(S13). The distance between the surface layer and an arbitrary one record layer is divided by focus actuator sensitivity. Driving voltage corresponding to the operation value is calculated. The calculated driving voltage is applied to a focus actuator(S15), and the access operation to the one record layer from the surface layer is performed(S26).
