APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MUTUAL AUTHENTICATION BETWEEN READER AND TAG IN RADIO FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A inter authentication method between a reader and a tag is provided to perform inter authentication between the reader and the tag without exposing an ID of the tag. CONSTITUTION: A tag(100) certifying a reader(200) encodes its own information to a session key. The tag transmits the encoded information with the reader(350). The reader decodes tag information to the session key. Whether the decoded tag information and its own information are similar or not is determined by the reader. The reader certifies the tag(360). The communication between the reader and the tag which authentication is completed is performed(370).
