METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING SURVEILLANCE KEYBOARD BASED ON NETWORK FOR IP(INTERNET PROTOCOL) SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method and device of controlling a controller keyboard based on network for an IP monitoring system are provided to control a PTZ(Pan/Tilt/Zoom) control in long distance. CONSTITUTION: A command converting unit(430) converts data into a keyboard selection command if data received through a data receiving unit is data for a keyboard server selection. If the received data is data for channel selection, the command conversion unit converts the received data into a command which can connect to a corresponding IP keyboard server. If the received data is data for a PTZ camera control, the command conversion unit converts the received data into a PTZ camera control command. A data transmitting unit(440) transmits the converted instruction to a network.
