PURPOSE: A pedal device for an electric vehicle or a vehicle with a throttle mechanism is provided to lighten the device by forming an accelerator pad and a brake pedal using a reinforced plastic material. CONSTITUTION: A pedal device(1) for an electric vehicle or a vehicle with a throttle mechanism comprises a brake pedal(2) and an accelerator pad(3). The brake pedal has an auxiliary pad(5) in which a brake arm(6) is connected. The accelerator pad is horizontally rotated within a required angle range to operate an accelerator. The accelerator pad is composed of a reinforced plastic material and has a protrusion unit. The front end of an accelerator arm is in contact with the accelerator pad. The rotation angle detected from the rotation of the accelerator arm is transferred to a throttle mechanism through a throttle position sensor(12). |
