<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic transmission for a vehicle, which enhances its durability by restraining the roll-up of a seal lip in the seal structure of a clutch piston. <P>SOLUTION: Since the automatic transmission for the vehicle is formed with an annular groove portion 14c for restoring the roll-up by receiving an outer peripheral end 30c of the seal lip 30 on a part corresponding to the seal lip 30 in a position where the clutch piston 18 is pushed back most with a spring 24 on the inner peripheral side of a clutch drum 14, a load on the seal lip 30 does not continue when the clutch piston 18 is in pushed-back state, and the roll-up state can be eliminated because the outer peripheral end 30c of the seal lip 30 is escaped in the groove portion 14c by means of the clutch piston 18 pushed back with the spring 24 even if the roll-up state of the seal lip 30 occurs when the clutch piston 18 is operated in addition to restraining the durability from lowering owing to a plastic fluidity of the seal lip 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
