<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel golf ball that controls a spin rate on approach shots while suppressing a change in the spin rate on driver shots, and to provide a method for manufacturing the golf ball. <P>SOLUTION: The golf ball has a cover containing a resin component and fillers 80, wherein the fillers 80 are oriented substantially parallel to a cover surface 70. The cover having anisotropy, shows a behavior of a hard material with respect to the deformation in a compressing direction on driver shots, and shows a behavior of a soft material with respect to the deformation in a shearing direction on approach shots. The method for manufacturing the golf ball includes the steps of compression-molding a cover composition containing the resin component and the fillers 80 to mold shells, and compression-molding a core covered with the shells to mold the cover. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
