摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaluation method capable of determining simply, quickly and easily heat sinterability of organic matter coated metal particles, an efficient method for manufacturing heat-sinterable metal paste having excellent heat sinterability, and an efficient method for manufacturing a metal member assembly having excellent joinability. SOLUTION: Each of the organic matter coated metal particle and an organic matter itself is subjected to thermal analysis in the air current, and a thermal decomposition peak temperature of the organic matter coating the surface of the metal particle is compared with a thermal decomposition peak temperature of the organic matter itself, to thereby determine heat sinterability of the metal particle. Activation energy in a thermal decomposition reaction of the organic matter is calculated, and the heat sinterability of the metal particle is determined according to the value. An organic matter coated metal particle having excellent heat sinterability is selected by these evaluation methods, and mixed with a volatile dispersant to manufacture paste. The heat-sinterable metal paste is interposed between metal members and subjected to heat sintering, to thereby manufacture the metal member assembly. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
