PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience in the case of outputting a map to an output device. SOLUTION: A computer PC is configured to designate a map size l for picture display, a central position C, and a scale Sd for output to obtain map data 41 from a server SV; to displays it at a display 87; and to make a user confirm the degree of detail of a print map image Mp. Then, from the difference between the map size l for picture display and a print sheet size L and the difference between monitor resolution Dm and printer resolution Dp, a scale Sa for display is set, such that the same physical range as that of the print map image Mp is displayed at the display 87; map data 41 of a scale Sa for display are obtained from the server SV; and a region confirmation map Ma of the same physical range as that of a print map image Mp is displayed. Then, after the region confirmation map Ma is confirmed by a user, the map data 41 of a scale Sd for outputting are acquired from the server SV and are output to a printer PRT.
