摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multistage flash type apparatus for producing fresh water, in which the height of brine can be optimally kept without adjusting the height of an opening when the height of the brine is changed. SOLUTION: The multistage flash type apparatus for producing fresh water is constituted so that multiple stages of seawater evaporation chambers 12 are formed by using partition walls 11 and the upstream side is made to communicate with the downstream side by the opening 11a formed in the lower part of each partition wall. A cylindrical body 31 having a plurality of discharge holes is arranged at the upper edge of the opening of each partition wall. A slightly lower temperature seawater supply tube 41 for supplying the seawater of the temperature slightly lower than that of the seawater in the upstream-side evaporation chamber and a slightly higher temperature seawater supply tube 42 for supplying the seawater of the temperature slightly higher than that of the seawater in the upstream-side evaporation chamber are connected to each cylindrical body. A liquid level gage 32 for detecting the liquid level of the brine being the seawater in each evaporation chamber is arranged in each evaporation chamber. A control means 33 is arranged to which the liquid level height detected by each liquid level gage is inputted and which controls an opening/closing valve 43 or 44 on the supply tube 41 or 42 connected to the cylindrical body arranged on the downstream-side partition wall of each evaporation chamber.
