摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower the temperature of an outer ring of a thrust rolling bearing during operation, and to improve durability, in a structure providing a sliding bearing between a trunnion of a toroidal type continuously variable transmission and the outer ring of the thrust rolling bearing. SOLUTION: An annular step part 51 with a rectangular cross section is provided on an end of a trunnion side of the disk sliding bearing 50. An oil hole 52 is provided in the center. By providing such a configuration, heat generated by a power roller 11 becomes high in response to transmission power, force acting on the trunnion 6 becomes larger due to receival of large force of the power roller 11 from contact points with discs 2, 4, and even if the trunnion 6 is elastically deformed like an arch, by providing the step part 51, the sliding bearing 50 can follow the elastic deformation of the trunnion 6, and heating due to contact to the sliding bearing 50 when the trunnion 6 is elastically deformed can be prevented.
