PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing apparatus for paper sheets which improves incorporation operation efficiency, by simplifying an operation to adjust the distance between a pair of roller units which convey paper sheets, and for stably obtaining a fixed conveyance force, by reducing the variation of the distance between both the roller units. SOLUTION: The paper sheet processing apparatus is provided with a conveyance mechanism 3 for rotating at least one of a pair of feed roller unit 30 and agate roller unit 31 arranged at both the sides of the direction of thickness, while interposing paper sheets Pa between both the roller units 30 and 31 to convey the paper sheets Pa with a conveyance force corresponding to the distance between both the roller units 30 and 31. The paper sheet processing apparatus is provided with an association part 4, arranged so as to be interposed between both the relatively freely far-and-near roller units 30 and 31 for associating both the roller units 30 and 31 with each other such that a rotary shaft Cn2 of the gate roller unit 31 is positioned on a circumference with a prescribed diameter with a rotary shaft Cn1 of the feed roller unit 30 as a center.
