PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a control method thereof are provided to include a display of a dual combination structure in which first and second displays are overlapped. CONSTITUTION: If a character input mode is executed, a control unit displays an execution screen corresponding to the text input mode on a first display(210). The control unit displays a text input screen on a second display(220), and a user selects the display for touch input by turning on/off the second display. The entire display region is used in the purpose of displaying the contents of an input screen or execution screen.
