The method involves outputting a reference-time i.e. frame number, and receiving the time by a test network component (5) i.e. Global system for mobile communicationprotocol tester, and a receiving unit (8). A component specific time is found by the component and a determining unit (9) based on the reference time and a mapping relation between the reference-time and the component specific time. The reference-time is received by another test network component (6) i.e. universal mobile telecommunication systembase station emulator, and another receiving unit (11). An independent claim is also included for a communication device that comprises an output-unit.
